US View

In case you're wondering, the title of this blog can be read two ways. It can be read as a view of the U.S. as in United States. It can also be read as a view of us as a people.

My hope is to present and solicit commentary on issues important to us as both a people and a nation without any spin.

Mr. Obama is trying to push his half a trillion dollar jobs bill through congress in order to save face and his job approval rating over his failed policies to get the economy moving. Blaming the republicans for blocking his jobs bill.

Watching his press conference yesterday and other speeches since he released his jobs bill, I cannot help noticing that Obama sounds like he is whining and trying to browbeat the republicans into passing his jobs bill.

But the truth is, there are many democrats as well that do not support the bill in its entirety. This country is already in serious debt and this bill will cost another half trillion dollars that we really don't have.

Who will pay for it? We will. Our children and grandchildren will pay for it. What is the return on this investment?
